Hamburger Soup

Great on a cold winter day.

On days like today this soup was like a taste of heaven.  It's easy to make too.  There are many different versions of hamburger soup out there, so don't stress about getting every single ingredient.  Just use what you have on hand in your pantry and enjoy!

Serves 6 - 8 people

Ingredients:

1 lb. Ground Beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp basil
1/8 tsp of seasoning salt
1 (2 oz.) pkg. onion soup mix
4 cups of water
3 cups of beef broth
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can Rotel tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 can of corn
1 can of green beans
1 can of great northern beans
1 cup of cooked pasta
grated cheese

Cook beef and drain fat.  Add salt, pepper, oregano, basil, seasoned salt and onion soup mix.  Stir in water, broth, tomato sauce, soy sauce and worcestershire sauce.  Bring to a boil and then cover and simmer for 15 minutes.  Then add remaining ingredients.  Add more water if ncessary.  Cook for 30 minutes longer.

Serve sprinkled with cheese.
